Memberhip in CIGRE

CIGRE membership is open to all individuals, companies and organisations. Membership types include individual membership, company and education institution membership referred to as collective membership. To follow is a summary of the six membership types.

Individual member I
Individuals involved in the industry (memberfee in 2022 – 1.740 NOK)

Individual member II
Individuals involved in the industry, under 35 year (memberfee in 2022 – 870 NOK)

Individual member – student
Free membership is offered for full time tertiary students

Collective member Ia – < 500 employees
Public or private companies, inkluding power system transmission ang distribution utities, scientific and technical organisations, research institutes and administrative bodies (memberfee in 2022 – 23.500 NOK).

Collective member Ia – > 500 employees
Public or private companies, inkluding power system transmission ang distribution utities, scientific and technical organisations, research institutes and administrative bodies (memberfee in 2022 – 20.000 NOK).

Collective menber II
Universities and other educatinal bodies (mermberfee in 2022 – 10.000 NOK).

Membership in CIGRE givs you
Membership means access to the world of CIGRE and its many resources, participation opportunities, and benefits, including:

    • Collective Ia up to 10 accounts
    • Collective Ib up to 50 accounts
    • Collective II no limit on number of accounts
  • The bimonthly ELECTRA journal (6 per year)
  • Reduced registration fees for CIGRE events
  • Preferential prices for CIGRE hard copies and books
  • Entry eligibility for CIGRE awards
  • Young processional (<35 years) pays a half membership fee
  • Student membership is free

Enrollment in CIGRE
Membership is on a calender year basis and the prices is mention below.applications. You can now become a member by using CIGRE’s automatic registration system, which Norway is a part of. We offer the first 6 months of membership free if you join part way through a year (after 1 July).

Next-Generation Network (NGN)
Next-Generation Network (NGN) applications should be submitted through the registration form on the NGN Webpage. In this regard, you can also contact cigre.ngn.norway@gmail.com
